Organic Daikon Radish Seeds - Raphanus sativus
Organic Non-GMO Open-Pollinated Daikon Radish Seed
Daikon radish is a fast-growing, cool-season vegetable celebrated for its crisp texture and mild, slightly peppery flavor. This versatile Asian root vegetable is perfect for fresh eating, pickling, stir-fries, and even as a natural cover crop. When used as a cover crop, daikon helps break up compacted soil and enriches the earth by adding valuable nutrients.
The name "daikon" means "big root" in Japanese, and some varieties live up to this, growing over 20 inches long and weighing several pounds! We especially love daikon as a cornerstone vegetable in our homemade kimchi—its flavor and crunch are unbeatable!
